Muslims of Canada
Who are we?

Welcome to our website.
The Association of Progressive Muslims of Canada and Ontario is a non-profit organization, incorporated provincially in 1998 and federally on June 18, 2002, with its Head Office in Ottawa. Since its inception, the Association has focused on fostering understanding between Muslims and diverse communities, including faith groups, governments, security services, and NGOs.
We have told our story through photos and text in this website. We give awards at our Eid and Canada Day Celebrations. You can see a synopsis of our award recipients at a glance and get details on any one you are interested in.
We hope you enjoy your visit!

Our Events
An Overview Of

Eid Celebrations
Since 1998
APMC hosts community-oriented events, including our annual Eid dinners, which brings together diverse communities to celebrate the spirit of Eid. These events foster a sense of unity and cultural exchange, offering a platform for dialogue and celebration within and beyond the Muslim community in Canada.
Taste of Asia
Since 2004

Our Association is partnering with the Federation of Chinese Canadians of Markham and the City of Markham for the largest Asian festival in Canada. It is held on the last weekend of June, very close to our Canada Day Celebrations. It is open to all and was attended by 200,000 people in 2019.
